What’s Inside My Vintage Record Cabinet?
I wish I was cool enough to have a record player and collect records. I LOVE going to a friend’s house and watching as they choose a record and we listen to it start to finish. As much as I want to #goals a record player life - that’s just not me and I’m okay with it. I’m a Siri HomePod gal. WAY less cool but it works for me and my daily NPR fix and my weekly podcasts. #nerdalert
So WHY do we have a record cabinet?
Well I found it when we first moved to Napa on Craigslist Vintage. I feel in love with it and removed the back to house our TV consoles. Only issue, without the back opening and closing the doors was a bit wonky.
When we cut ties with cable for streaming those ugly consoles went away and I was left with an adorable cabinet.
I reattached the back and wondered how best to use the storage that would be in the corner of our living room.
The answer: GAMES!
I worked to edit down our collection to what we really enjoyed most. Uno & Sorry are major faves.
The final key to fit it all in the cabinet was to ditch some bulky boxes and use reusable zipper bags for boards and pieces. I had a few extra bags that worked great for organizing unruly craft supplies and lego books.
Game changer!
